As you all know, Marlin Ski Boat Club has been given the authority to manage the silver beach launch site by the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism and is required to comply with Section 24(4) of the National Environmental Management Act. As such, all persons, vehicles & vessels wishing to make use of this launch site are required to comply with the rules outlined by the Act. Failure to comply with these regulations by even a single person will certainly jeopardize the existence of this launch site. |

After numerous requests from our safety officers, some skippers are still parking their vehicles and trailers "parallel" across the designated parking area thereby taking up a huge amount of space. This means that many other fellow anglers are unable to park on the beach and are having to park in the public car parking area as a result. Parking is restricted and as such must be perpendicular to the dune i.e park with the bonnet of your vehicle facing the dune. Please tow the line with this matter and let's make fishing a whole lot more fun. Offenders of this requirement will have their rights to parking on the beach revoked. Thank you for your understanding. Safety Officers
